The compassionate care ministry at St. Augustine’s Parish has several volunteers who are able to bring the Eucharist to those who are unable to make it to mass. Our volunteers are trained to conduct a pastoral visit, with time to listen, pray about the concerns of the sick or shut-in person and to share Eucharist with them. At St. Augustine’s we care for our parishioners and we are grateful to have a dedicated group of volunteers to support our compassionate care ministry.
If you, or someone you know, would like to receive the Eucharist at home, please send an email to: ccministry@staugustinesparish.ca or call the parish office at 905-628-2880.
Our ministry will require volunteers who are interested in bringing companionship to program participants. Our volunteers will provide support in a compassionate manner – modeling their interactions after Jesus.
